Paul Brock

U.S. Veteran

Paul Brock, age 75, of Winchester, IN, passed away on Sunday April 8, 2012 at St. Vincent Randolph Hospital in Winchester.

Paul was born on June 3, 1936 in Slusher, Kentucky, the son of the late James F. and Bertha Collett Brock.

Paul had spent much of his time prior to the Flood of 1977 in Pineville, KY where he had grown up. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army where he served as a Military Policeman and spent eighteen months in Japan.

He had been a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Georgia Bachelder Brock; his sons, James A. Brock and his fiancé, Brenda Daggett of Winchester, IN, Paul Brock, Jr. of Sevierville, TN, and Stephen “Pete” Brock and his wife Vivian of Salt Lick, VA, stepson, Chris Bachelder and his companion Julia Hamilton of New Castle, IN; step daughter, Bertha Bachelder of Winchester, IN; a brother, Charles Brock and his wife Patty of Connersville, IN; two sisters, Marjorie Mace of Muncie, IN and Pauline Garcia of Eugene, OR; several grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Bobbie Jean Napier Brock; seven brothers, Floyd, Millard, Arnold, Clifford, Jimmie Lee, Cecil and Willard Brock; and three sisters, Rose Marie Britton, Myrtle Brock, and Wilma Brock.

Funeral services will be conducted at Urban Winkler Funeral Home on Thursday April 12, 2012 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Larrel Boling officiating where friends may call from 12:00 noon until the time of service.

Burial will follow at Mt. Summit Cemetery in Mt. Summit, IN.
