Anita Persinger passed away on Tuesday June 25, 2024 at the Knolls of Oxford in Oxford, OH at the age of 84.  Anita was born in Hamilton Ohio on November 30, 1939, one of three children of the late Charles  and Gene Pierson Williamson.

In Liberty, Indiana on October 13, 1956, she was united in marriage to Emery Persinger.  They shared 67 years of marriage prior to her death.  Emery and Anita were blessed with four sons.

She was a member of the College Corner United Methodist Church where she enjoyed attending WoW (Women on Wednesday) group.  She also enjoyed singing in the church choir, going shopping with her friends, and when her boys were in school, you could find her sitting front and center at their Union County High School Basketball games. Anita treasured the time she spent with her family and grandchildren.

Retiring in 2006 she had worked as a Dental Assistant at Dr. David Eifert's Office for 25 years.  From 1976 to 1981 she was a cook at the College Corner School.

Anita's love and memories will be cherished by her husband, Emery; sons, John (Judie) Persinger, Chris (Paige) Persinger and Tim (Loree) Persinger; grandchildren, Luke Persinger, Katie (Kyle) Bone, Gerritt (Lexie Withrow) Persinger, Annemarie (Jacob) Brooks, Dalton (Karisa Browning) Persinger, Lilly Persinger and Leea Persinger; and great grandchildren, Gavin Persinger, Myles Persinger, Clara Bone and Decker Bone.  She will be thought of often by her brother, Terry (Marsha) Williamson; special friends, Joan Ramsey, Doris Ponder and Ardella Niehoff as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Thomas Dale Persinger and a brother Jim Williamson.

Funeral services will be held on Friday June 28, 2024 at 12:00 noon at the College Corner United Methodist Church, 89 Church Street, West College Corner, IN.  Friends and family may gather from 10:00 am until the hour of the service.  Anita will be laid to rest at College Corner Cemetery.

The family has requested, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the College Corner United Methodist Church.
