Anna Jean Hayes, age 90, a long-time resident of the Everton Community, passed away on November 2, 2022, in Rapid City, South Dakota.   Anna was born on December 9, 1931, in Pine Top, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Sidney and Dessie Pigman Everidge.

On July 21, 1950, Anna was united in marriage to the love of her life, Alvin Hayes, in Knott County Kentucky.  They shared 47 years together prior to his death in 1997.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who cherished the time she spent with her family.  She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for many years.

Her memories and love will be forever cherished by her son, Gary Michael (Dianne) Hayes of Rapid City, SD and her brother Robert Douglas (Linda) Everidge of Dayton, OH.  She will be thought of often by her granddaughter, Jennifer R. Powell of Rapid City, SD; grandson, Benjamin W. Hayes of Brookville, IN; great granddaughter, Sidney G. Powell and great grandson, J. Korbin Powell both of Rapid City, SD.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Wayne Hayes; sisters, Eula Thomas, Mary D. Simpson, and Roba F. Hayes; and her brothers, Sidney Everidge Jr., Stanley Everidge, Eddie Ford Everidge and Benny Everidge.

Friends may gather with the family on Friday November 11, 2022, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W 8 ^th Street, Connersville.  Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm with Pastor John Reynolds officiating.  Burial will follow at Everton Cemetery.
