Barbara Ann Frye, 73 passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. She was born on March 6, 1952 in Wilmington, Ohio to Roy Johnson and Betty D. Hemmeyre Johnson.

On September 19, 1981, she married Lonnie M. Frye in Connersville.

Barbara retired from Sperry Rubber & Plastics after 33 years. After she retired, she worked in home health care for several years.

Barbara found joy in the simple pleasures in life and the beauty of the outdoors. Whether she was mowing the grass, tending to her garden or enjoying a weekend away camping. Above all she devoted her time to her family, especially her grandson who she lovingly raised. She was happiest when her days were spent with the laughter and joy of her family and friends.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Lonnie; her daughter, Brandy Elizabeth Houze; her son, Christopher William Frye; her grandson who she raised, Branson Neal Russell; her step daughters, Brenda Messer and Melody L. Davis; her 12 grandchildren; brothers, Bob Johnson, David Johnson, Jim Johnson, Jeff Burke, Gary Burke and Ronnie Burke; her 2 yorkies, Gabby and Jessy; and her special friends, Tim, Tami and Brayton Hofer.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, brother David; granddaughter, Sydney E. Frye and a grandson, Luke Frye.

Friends and family may visit on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W. 8th St., Connersville, In 47331. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in Everton Cemetery.
