Obituary

Benjamin T. "Tom" Graw, Jr. passed away on May 18, 2024, as a result of a motorcycle accident in rural Fayette County, at the age of 65.  Tom was born in Richmond, IN on June 6, 1958, the only child of the late Benjamin T. Graw, Sr. and Myrtle Eileen Taylor Graw.

On November 30, 1996, he was united in marriage to the former Linda Gail Johnson.  They shared 26 years together prior to her death in 2023.

He served in the US Army.  He and Linda were members of the East Germantown House of Pray.  Tom served as Head Trustee at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Richmond, a long-time member of the American Legion Post 315 and VFW #1108 in Richmond.  He is the President and Founder of the Arc Angels Bike Club in Australia.  Over the years, Tom had worked as a Deputy Sherriff in Dumas, TX, a security guard for the Richmond Police Department at the Greenwood Apartments, groundskeeper at local golf courses and working on small engines.  He also was a Minister at a small church that he founded.

Tom was a man that would not sit still.  You could find him riding his motorcycle, going fishing or camping, but he most treasured the time spent with his family and grandchildren.

He has left behind to cherish his love and memories his daughters, Angel (Cecil) Brumley, Amanda (Rocky) Carico, Crystal (Jeffery) Bell and Amanda (Brian, Sr.) Henderson; sons, Benjamin T. Graw, III and Terry Jenkins; several grandchildren and cousins, including Terry Rust with whom he spent most of his time with.

In addition to his parents and wife, Linda, who he missed dearly every day, he is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charlie and Vergie Graw and maternal grandparents, Jim and "Grandma" Taylor.

In keeping with Tom's wishes no public services will be held.  The Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Richmond, 75 South 12th Street, will be hosting a Celebration of Life on Friday May 24, 2024 at 7:00 pm.
