Bobby Joe Gillespie, 52, of Liberty, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at his residence. He was born on February 19,1972 in Connersville, IN to the late Robert and Jennifer (Snoddy) Gillespie.

Bobby enjoyed working on cars, watching football and was an avid NASCAR fan. In recent years, he especially enjoyed traveling around the Wayne county area throwing darts and participating in dart tournaments. Bobby will be remembered as a friendly guy who enjoyed making others laugh, hanging out with his friends while enjoying a cold beverage and listening to good music. Bobby cherished all of his grandchildren and enjoyed the time he spent with them.

Bobby is survived by his daughter, Martika (Braedon Feix) Gillespie; brother, Danny (Betty) Gillespie; sister, Amanda Walters and his grandchildren: Preston Gillespie, Addilyn Feix and Cooper Feix; along with his special friends: Joyce White and Kimberly Myers and her family; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

Along with his parents and grandparents, Bobby is preceded in death by an infant son, Joseph Alan Gillespie.

Friends and family may gather on Monday November 18, 2024 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Urban Winkler Liberty Funeral Home located at 310 N Main Street Liberty, IN 47353.
