Brenda Day passed away on January 3, 2025, while a resident at Heritage House Rehabilitation of Connersville at the age of 81.  She was born on July 29, 1943, in Connersville, IN, the daughter of the late Clarence and Oda Elliott Dunn.

In 1958 she was united in marriage to McClellian Smith.  They shared 46 years of marriage prior to his death in 2004.  Brenda enjoyed gardening, going to church, and caring for her family and friends.  She was the caregiver for several.

He memories will be cherished by her sons, Brian Smith, Curtis Smith and Jason Smith; a brother, Sam Dunn; sisters, Betty (Buford) Thomas and Judith Smith; grandchildren, Jordan Smith, Derek Smith and Kristin Smith-Marin; great grandchildren, Alfredo Marin and Alicia Marin; great-great granddaughters, Dezilynn Dior Marin; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by two sons, Steven Smith and James Smith and a sister-in-law, Jackie Dunn.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Urban Winkler Funeral Home is honored to assist Brenda's family with her arrangements
