Brenda S. Gibbs passed away at her home, surrounded by her family, on September 20, 2024, at the age of 84.  She was born on December 22, 1939, in Hamiton, OH, the daughter of Everett Stanton and Helen Revelee Inoue.

Brenda retired from the laundry department at Lincoln Centers after 25 years of service.  She was a member of the Fayette County Senior Center and enjoyed playing bingo, watching and feeding the birds, and working in her flower gardens.  Her most treasured times were the times she spent with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Annie Drake; sons, Freddie (Kaye) Lakes, Johnny Lakes, Michael (Kimberly) Gibbs and David Gibbs; and a brother, Everett (Darlene) Stanton.  Her memories will be cherished by her grandchildren, Stevie, Michael, Jessica, Jason, Trae, Chris, Sky, Courtney, Tina, Hunter, Lexus, Felicity, Avabelle, Taylor, Makayla, Dirk, Colton, Trenton, Kylie and Mia, as well as many great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three daughters, Debbie R. Lakes-Wagner, Mary Jane Lakes-Glover and Charity K. Lakes; and a sister Jane Bunch.

Funeral services will be held at Urban Winkler Funeral Home on Monday, September 30, 2024, at 1:00 pm.  Friends and family may gather from 11:00 am until the hour of the service.
