Carol Jean Gross, of Liberty, received her angel wings on April 11, 2024 at the age of 59.  Carol was born In Connersville, IN on January 25, 1965, one of 14 children of the late Loyd Robert and Rinda Lou King Mays.

Carol was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and sister that enjoyed and treasured the time she spent with her family and friends.  She loved going to the lake to feed the fish, watching and feeding the squirrels and humming birds and making squirrel feeders.  You also could find her relaxing while working puzzles or brain teasers, crocheting, and making scrapbooks.  She was a member of the Boston Old Time Holiness Church.

Those that she has left behind to love and cherish her memories include her children, Melinda (Cameron) Turner and Michael Gross and a granddaughter, Isabelle Gross.  She will be in the thoughts of her brothers, Wendel (Janet) Mays, Daniel (Charlene) Mays, James (Dianne) Mays, Billy Ray (Jenny) Mays, Clarence W. (Pam) Mays, Gary (Tina) Mays, Lee (Cheryl) Mays, and Keith Mays; sisters, Loumetta (Doug) Murray, Emaleen (Tony) Marcum and Ermadene Mays; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was welcomed into heaven by a sister, Irene Clark and an infant brother, David Mays.

Family and friends may gather at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W 8th Street, Connersville, on Thursday evening April 18, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.  Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 1:00 pm with Brothers Donnie Wooton and Randy Marcum officiating.  Carol will be laid to rest at Dale Cemetery.
