Charles Wesley Dufour 57, of Connersville, formally from St. Petersburg, Florida, completed his artful journey here and started anew in the peace and solitude of the skies above on Saturday, December 23, 2023, in the arms of his husband of 37 years John William Peak.

Chuck was a master carpenter and custom home builder for 17 years before venturing on his own to gain a clientele of high-end remodeling projects on the gulf coast beaches. He later became a much sought after artist and sculpture having several pieces displayed in the Museum of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg, winning several first-place showings.  Their home in the historic Kenwood neighborhood was featured on local HGTV morning shows and several home and garden tours.  Often, people would stop by to marvel at the many fountains, ponds, and flora including over 500 orchids.  Chuck and John relocated to Connersville 3 years ago to be closer to family.

Chuck is survived by and will be missed by his husband John Peak, sister-in-law Julianne (Ronnie) Cooper & family and his BFF Jane Beaver.

A celebration of his life will be held at the convenience of the family at his home.  A time for friends and family to gather and enjoy his works of art in what we hope to become a new home to local artist.
