Danny Wayne Chance passed away on Tuesday August 26, 2025, at Reid Health at the age of 73.   He was born on October 13, 1951, in Rushville, IN, the son of the late Roscoe James and Florence May (Ketchum) Chance.

On May 23, 1981, at their home in Connersville, Danny was united in marriage to the former Bonnie Lou Johnson.  They share 44 years together prior to his death.

Danny served in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1971, where he served in Vietnam.  He retired from Stant Manufacturing in 2021 after 50 years of service where he also served two terms as president of the Local UAW.  He was an avid fan of Nascar and enjoyed playing golf.  You could find him sitting on the porch listening to classic rock and roll music while enjoying an ice-cold beer.  Most importantly, Danny loved to spend time with his family and friends.

Danny's love and memories will be cherished by his wife, Bonnie; daughters, Tera Ann Chance and Mindy Rowland; sons, Daniel Ray Chance, Shannon Dixon, and Chad Dixon; brothers, Bob (Joyce) Chance and Kenny (Tonya) Chance; sister Kathy (Joe Jarrett) Fowler; several grandchildren, including Peyton Dixon the he was very close to; and many great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Tisha Powell; son Ronnie Chance; and brothers Don Chance and Billy Chance.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday September 3, 2025, at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W 8th Street, Connersville, at 1:00 pm.  Friends and family may visit and share memories from 11:00 until the hour of the service.
