Obituary

Danny Clark, age 72, went home on July 30, 2024 after fighting a long terminal illness.

Danny was born on September 13, 1951, he is the son of the late Robert Clark and Roxie Henson.

Danny was united in marriage to Rita (Jinks) Clark on January 25, 2005 and have been together more than 30 years.

Danny proudly served in the United States Marines.

Danny was a man of many talents. Over the years, he spent time in South Dakota learning the welding trade, worked at D & M, Cineram, Fayette Memorial Hospital, mowing lawns and last but not least, the job that kept him going all through his illness, working at Fayette County Community Corrections.  Danny loved his work at Fayette County Community Corrections.  He enjoyed his coworkers, and his mates.  That is what kept him going. Danny did not give up. His doctor would tell other patients that he had a 72-year-old that with the same illness that still went to work every day.

In his leisure time, Danny enjoyed being outside. He loved to spend time in his garden. He enjoyed cutting wood, mowing grass, watching TV, and taking care of his lovely wife, Rita.  Danny loved to tell stories. To this day, people are probably still wondering if it was the truth or not. He could have you laughing, scratching your chin and wondering what was next.  The faces he would make will be missed.  If anyone knew Danny, once he had something on his mind, that was it and that's how it would be.  No changing it.

Danny's love and memories will be cherished by his wife, Rita; daughters, Kim (Darrell) Cox, Linda Jinks, Teresa (Craig) Waddell, Tonya (Richard) Sells; sisters, Ginger (John), Genia (Rick), and Marcia, as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; great grandson, Landen Miller; granddaughter, Ariann Jade; great granddaughter, Lanee Rene Ellis; a sister, Nancy Jordan and a brother, Jimmy Clark.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  As Danny would say, If you can't come and see me while I am here, you don't have to come and see me when I am gone.

The Clark family would like to thank Reid Health, the EMT's, Dayton VA Hospital, (ICU) and Dayton VA Hospice for all their caring and compassion shown to him and the family.
