Obituary

David Barrett of Connersville began his eternal journey with his Lord and Savior on Sunday evening September 7, 2025, at Caroleton Health Center in Connersville at the age of 70.  David was one of twelve children of the late Thomas and Kathleen Gross Barrett.

David proudly served in the U.S. Army in the 3rd Division 64th Regiment as a tank driver while stationed in Germany.  He was a member of the AmVets and NRA.

For over 25 years, he was employed at Roots and later worked for three years at NSK.  When not working you could find him at his favorite fishing hole or hunting.  He loved playing games of all types, including pitching horseshoes, corn hole, or playing card games.  He enjoyed playing card games on the weekends with his children and grandchildren.

David's love and memories will be cherished by his sons, Jeff (Merly) Barrett, Brian Barrett and David E. (Paige) Barrett; brothers, Daniel (Linda) Barrett, Arthur (Janet) Barrett, Thomas (Jennifer) Barrett, Jr., and George Barrett; sisters, Christine Schocke, Lois (Charles) Miller, Norma (Mark) Mast and Linda Loue (Ken) Sanders; sister-in-law, Karen Barrett.  He will be in the thoughts of his grandchildren, Chelsea Barrett, Kylie (Steven) Mason, Joshua Barrett, Emerson Barrett, Harper Barrett and August Barrett; bonus grandchildren, Vannessa Ely and Luke Farhar; great grandchildren, Forrest Barrett and Cassian Barrett, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, David was welcomed into Heaven by his brothers, Henry Barrett and Garry Barrett, an infant sister, Caroline Barrett and a brother-in-law, John Schocke.
