David John Plont, Sr, age 62 of Connersville, passed away o March 31, 2023 in Richmond. David was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan on October 31, 1960, the son of Ronald and Karen Plont.
On December 12, 2012, he was united in marriage to Bonita Joyce Helton. David was a truck driver by trade. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, camping or tinkering on cars. David loved to watch sports, he was an avid Colts fan and enjoyed watching the Tennessee Volunteers and Georgia Bulldogs. He was know to have the ability to bring joy and laughter to all.
His memories will be treasured by his daughter, Ashley Plont; sons, Alex Plont, Jamie (Kaeli) Plont and David J. Plont, Jr.; as well as his grandchildren, Luke and Henry Plont and Steven Simpson III. He will be thought of often by the mother of his children, Allyson Thornton; sisters, Carol (Marvin) Wood-Ketola, Amy Plont, Angel Messer, Bertie Anderson, Teresa Plont and Missy; and several cousins including Richard and Michael Plont who he thought of as brothers.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his second wife, Bonita Joyce Plont and a brother, St. John Plont.
There will be no public services.
