Dennis Wayne Dickey, age 57 of Richmond, began his eternal journey with the Lord on March 17, 2023, at Reid Health in Richmond.  Wayne was born on July 20, 1965, in Columbus, Indiana, the son of John Albert Dickey and the late Carolyn Kay Agnew Dickey.

Wayne was known as a jack of all trades, most recently as a delivery driver for Door Dash and Walmart.  He lived a simple life.  He enjoyed listening to music, playing his guitar or piano, singing, reading his bible and writing a song or two.  Wayne had a huge caring heart.  He was a very giving person, helping anyone in need and would literally give them the shirt off his back.  Wayne continued being a giving person even in death.

His memory and love will be forever cherished by his father and stepmother, John and Marilyn Dickey; brothers, John M. Dickey and Steve Dickey; and his sisters, Brenda Cochran and Sheila (Robert) Steed.  He is also survived by his stepbrother, Jimmy and stepsisters, Jeanna, Tara, Kim and Mary, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides his mother, a brother, Robert Dickey, welcomed him into heaven.

Services will be held on Thursday March 23, 2023, at 7:00 pm at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W 8 ^th Street, Connersville, with Pastor Jim Slaven presiding. Friends are welcome to visit with the family from 5:00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home.
