Dorothy Faye Dews, 78 of Connersville passed away on December 5, 2021. She was born on February 23, 1943, in Harlan County Kentucky to the late Coy Day and Novella Mae Fielden Day.

For 28 years Dorothy worked as a meat assessor for the federal government. At the end of her time as an inspector, Dorothy worked different positions in the waitressing industry.

On March 28, 1992, Dorothy married Ben William Dews, and the couple celebrated 22 blissful years of marriage prior to Mr. Dews passing in 2015.

Dorothy was a simple person; she was most happy when spending time with her loved ones. During her down time, she enjoyed playing games such as Yahtzee.

Dorothy will be missed greatly by her children Timothy Lee (Shannon) Taylor of Kentucky; Tina Marie Lyons of Greensburg, Terri Lynn (Shaun) Cline of Rushville; brother, Roderick Dewayne Bertsinger of Texas; sister, Phyllis (Calvin) Durham of Connersville. Dorothy's memory will live on in 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband.
