Eric Crank, age 31, lost his battle with the demons on Tuesday February 14, 2023.  Eric was born in Connersville on August 23, 1991, the son of William E. Crank Jr. and Lisa May Powell Crank.  He was the youngest of three children.

He worked at H & E Machine as a machinist and had worked at Whitlock's Pressure Washing. In his younger days, Eric enjoyed riding skateboards and bicycles, and playing video games.  He was a well talented artist, loving to draw, an avid New England Patriots fan and loved to fish. Eric loved helping people out and was always calling his mother asking if he needed to do anything for her.  Most of all he valued the time spent with his family, especially his nephews, and friends.

Eric had the ability to bring joy and laughter to all.  He loved his brother and sister and kept his eyes on his mom.  He was a very smart young man receiving a 97% on his GED.

In addition to his parents, his love and memory will be cherished by his siblings, AJ Babbs and Casey Crank. Eric will be thought of often by his nephews, Dakota Babbs and Jordan Leo; an uncle, Matthew Powell; his step grandmother, Cheryl Powell and his beloved dog Baby Girl that he has had since he was sixteen years old.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Diana Powell and paternal grandparents, William, Sr. and Eileen Crank.

Funeral services will be conducted at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, on Friday February 24, 2023, at 3:00 pm with Pastor Chris Lovett officiating.  Friends and family may gather from 1:00 pm until the time of the service.  Cremation was chosen.
