Evelyn K. Drake, age 79, passed away on July 6, 2023, at Majestic Care in Connersville.  Evelyn was born in Brookville, Indiana on November 15, 1943 the daughter of the late Bertie B. Snapp and Hazel Wehr Snapp.

After graduating from high school, she joined the US Army and served for 3 years as a Medical Corpsman.  She retired in 2010 from J & J Packaging and worked at D & M/WCI until its closing.  Evelyn enjoyed reading, watching tv and occasionally knitting.  She lived a simple life and treasured the time she spent with her family.

She is survived by her children, Cynthia M (Bryan) Garrison, Kathy (Dan) Church and Dan Drake; five grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brothers, Harry Kolter and Leonard Kolter; and sisters Mary, Linda, Brenda and Rebecca.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Eileen and a grandson, Brandon Garrison.

Friends and family may gather at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W 8th Street, Connersville, on Wednesday July 12, 2023, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with services to follow.
