Gary L. Moffett passed away peacefully with his daughter by his side on August 18, 2025, at Ambassador Healthcare in Centerville at the age of 69.  Gary was born on August 31, 1955, in Connersville, IN, the son of the late Glen and Viola Morgan Moffett.

He graduated from Connersville High School in 1973.  He went on to serve his county in the United States Army for four years attaining the rank of E4.  He was a member of the Amvets.

Gary retired from Custom Extrusion/Sapa where he had worked since 1989.  He enjoyed working on his farm.  You could find him driving his "buggy" around the farm just enjoying nature.

He is survived by his daughter, Hollie Benton; brothers, Charles (Rosie) Moffett and Dennis (Andrea) Moffett; sister, Sharon Scholl; grandchildren, Raegan (Brantley) Dewitt and Grady Craig; a great grandchild on the way as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Vicky Potters Moffett, who he married on June 21, 1987, and sisters Majorie Moffett and Alice Morgan.

Gary's family would like to thank the Aseracare Hospice team for the love and compassion they showed him and his family during his final days.

Funeral services will be held at Urban Winkler Funeral Home on Wednesday August 20, 2025, at 1:00 pm.  Friends and family may gather to share memories from 11:00 until the time of the service.
