Gilda Jean Fish passed away at Envive of Liberty, surrounded by her family,  on Tuesday evening, June 23, 2026 at the age of 79.  She was born on August 27, 1946, in Hamilton, Ohio, the daughter of Gil Richardson and Marjorie (Willis) Richardson Maynor.

A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Gilda enjoyed crocheting, watching game shows and soap operas and listening to Conway Twitty.  You could find her searching for a bargain at thrift stores and yard sales. She loved spending time with her family and babysitting for her grandchildren.  Gilda and her brother Scotty shared a special sibling bond and were rarely apart, spending life's moments side by side.  She also shared a special bond with her sister Sandy and looked forward to their daily phone calls.

Her memories will be cherished by her daughters, Tracy Johnson and Tammy Richardson; sisters, Sandy (Joe) Estep and Theresa (Brownlow) Townsend; grandchildren, Jesse Hughes, Cheryl Hughes, Dillon Burch, Ashley (Sarah Stout) Burch, and Cheyanna Cleek; great grandchildren, Jensen Cedras, Cadence Slaughter, Kynlie Slaughter, Reighla Griffith, Khloey Griffith, Kody Cleek, Michael Cleek, and Waylon Alcorn, as well as her very special friend, Brenda Griffee.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Michael Fish, whom passed in 2015; brother Scott Maynor; great grandchildren, Hannah and Holden Burch; and her father and mother in law.

Gilda's family would like to thank her caregivers, Jazlyn Johnson and Brooke Hill, for all the love and compassion they showed over the past few years.

Graveside services will be conducted at West Point Cemetery, Liberty, IN, on Thursday July 9, 2026, at 4:00 pm.  Urban Winkler Liberty Funeral Home is honored to assist Gilda's family with her arrangements.
