Glenda L.
Tuttle
May 30, 1946 — May 9, 2026
Glenda L. Tuttle, 79, of Connersville, Indiana, passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Reid Health in Richmond, surrounded by love.
Glenda was born on May 30, 1946, in Connersville, the youngest daughter of Daniel B. and Emily (Rowland) Moore. A proud graduate of Connersville High School, she built a life rooted deeply in faith, family, and service to others.
On July 1, 1964, Glenda married the love of her life, George Tuttle. Together they shared 61 devoted years of marriage, raising four children and creating a home filled with love, music, and laughter. Their partnership was the foundation of a close-knit family that meant everything to her.
Faith was a guiding force in Glenda's life. She attended the First Church of the Nazarene in her early years where she shared her musical gifts by playing the piano and singing, both solos and alongside her sisters. She most recently attended the Connersville Baptist Temple. Music was one of her greatest joys, and in her high school years she traveled throughout the state to sing in choir competitions, sharing her talent wherever she went.
Glenda dedicated 48 years of her working life to Stant Manufacturing, where she was respected not only for her strong work ethic, but also for her leadership and compassion. She proudly served as UAW President and Union Steward, advocating tirelessly for her coworkers, especially regarding healthcare needs. She believed deeply in standing up for others and making sure people were treated fairly. After retirement, Glenda continued serving others through her work with "Comfort Keepers", where she lovingly assisted seniors with daily needs, transportation, and companionship, helping them remain independent in their homes.
Outside of work and church, Glenda found peace and happiness tending to her flower gardens, which she cared for with great pride. Above all else, she cherished time spent with her family. Her greatest joy came from being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and she delighted in every moment shared with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband George, Glenda will be lovingly remembered by her children, Patricia (Kent) Lathrop, Samuel (Tiffany) Tuttle, and Jeffrey (Vanessa) Tuttle; her grandchildren, Jacob Lathrop, Katie Lathrop, Hannah Lathrop, Elliott Tuttle, Emily Tuttle, Caitlin Tuttle, Tabby Case, Taylor Tuttle, Kennedy (Steven) DeGroat, and Addison (Karsen Morgan) Tuttle; and her great-grandchildren, Steven, Avery, and Drew DeGroat. She is also survived by her sister, Helen Jarnigan, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son Brian Tuttle; brothers Herman, James, Raymond, and Danny Moore; and sisters Eva Blanton, Jean Doulen, Wanda Mills, and Alene Moore.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Connersville Baptist Temple, 1380 E. State Road 44, on Friday, May 15, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A funeral service officiated by Pastor Joe Ferreira and her nephew, Bob Mills will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by burial at Dale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in care of the funeral home to Donate Life America or the charity of the donor's choice.
