Gracie L. Norton, age 75, of Connersville, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, surrounded by her loving family.

Gracie was born on June 5, 1950 in Lincoln County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Junior Ben (J.B.) and Ruby Lee Johnson Egner.

On December 4, 1964 in West Carrolton, KY, she married the love of her life, Kenneth R. Norton, They spent 47 years together prior to his passing in November 2011. Together they raised 5 children.

She is a member of the Bethel Apostolic Church.

Gracie spent many years in the home raising her children. She also worked in the manufacturing industry and was employed by Stants. Gracie loved the Lord with all her heart and served as the secretary for Bethel Apostolic Church for 37 years. Her favorite things to do included playing board games, where she loved winning and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children; son, Kenneth Norton Jr., daughters, Jacqueline (James) Moore, Kimberly (Kenneth) Schultz and Frieda (Ronnie) Arvin, her brother Edward (Peggy) Egner, and sister-in-laws Kathy Egner, and Judy Egner. Her memories will live on in her grandchildren; Katelyn, Jonathon, Kayla, Clinton, Jacob, Abigail, Jaxson, Greyson, Rachel, and Regina; and great grandchildren; Patrick, Lenora, Taylar, Victoria, Cory, Ana, and Ethan and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a son, Rex Edward Norton, brothers Hubert Egner and William Egner, a daughter-in-law, Susan Norton and a great-granddaughter Grace Isaacs.

The funeral service will be held at Bethel Apostolic Church on Friday August 1, 2025 at 2:00PM with Rev. Tom Johnson officiating. Friends and family may visit from 12:00PM until the start of the service. Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery.
