Herman Richard Hamilton, a lifelong residence of Connersville, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Hamilton had just celebrate his 82nd birthday. He was born on June 13, 1943, the son of the late John Hamilton and Rhoda Bell Allen Hamilton.

Herman enlisted in the Army National Guard after the completion of his education. He also worked for Visteon for 12 years and later D&J Van World. Mr. Hamilton was a member of Central Christian Church.

Herman was a musician at heart, he loved playing his bass guitar. He spent many weekends being a part of a band and using his talents for testimony at church. Herman was an outdoorsman that enjoyed boating, fishing, and camping. He also tinkered with woodworking in his downtime. Herman's most prized possession was his family, he adored anytime he spend with them especially at family cookouts. He will be dearly missed.

Herman is survived by his children; Jane (John) Robinson and Richard Lee Hamilton. He is also survived by his siblings; Ronald (Arlene) Hamilton, Joseph Hamilton, and Mary (Bill) Raines. His memories will live on forever in his grandchildren; Amber Hamilton, Courtney Pitcher, Rachelle Paugh, Ricky Hamilton, Heather Linville, Angel Stinger, Nathaniel Light, Jonathan Robinson, and his 24 great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings; John Hamilton, Bill Hamilton, Randy Hamilton, Donald Hamilton and his first wife Ruth Ann Hamilton.

Services will be held at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W 8th Street Connersville, IN 47331. The visitation will be on Monday, June 23, 2025 from 4:00PM to 6:00PM. The funeral service will be take place on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 beginning at 11:00AM. Burial will follow at Laurel North Cemetery.
