Howard Cregar of Laurel, IN passed away on June 28, 2024, at Reid Health in Richmond at the age of 76.  He was born in Connersville, IN on June 17, 1948, one of twelve children of Alex and Enno Moon Cregar.

In Laurel, IN on December 31, 1974, he was united in marriage to Nora Jean Robinson.  They shared 49 years together prior to his death.

Howard loved being outdoors.  He enjoyed riding horses, tinkering with old cars or just spending time with his family.  He was known as a jokester with his nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, Nora Jean, he is survived by a sister, Nancy (Leon) Robinson and several nieces and nephews including Jerry Cregar who helped Howard and Nora a lot around the house.

Howard is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John Cregar, Alex Cregar, and Bill Cregar; and sisters, Helen Murray, Lucy Johnson, Betty St. John, Mary Wyatt, Bonnie Feltz, Ruth Glenn and Fannie Sue Cregar.

Funeral services for Howard will be held at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W 8th Street Connersville, on Wednesday July 3, 2024, at 1:00 pm.  Friends and family may gather from 11:00 am until the hour of the service.  Howard will be laid at rest at Laurel North Cemetery.
