James "Jim" Jefferies passed away on December 19, 2023, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 73.  He was born in Connersville on December 30, 1949, the son of the late Grover and Louise Miller Jefferies.

On June 27, 1970, in Connersville, he was united in marriage to the former Diane Goodson.  They shared 53 years together and were blessed with a son.

JIm started working at D & M in 1970.  He remained there until the factory closed.  He then worked for Fayette Tool and Engineering for several years until he retired.  He loved to ride his motorcycle, go camping and fishing.  He was proud of the fact that he taught his grandchildren the love of fishing.  Over the years he enjoyed playing Santa Claus at local events and organizations.  The treasure that he valued the most was the time he spent with his family.

His love and memories will be cherished by his wife, Diane; son, Doug (Chrissy) Jefferies; grandchildren, Brent Jefferies, Brooklin (Ronnie) Gillespie and Briannah Jefferies; and great grandchildren, Noah Jefferies and Tatum Gillespie.  He will be thought of often by his brothers, Terry (Shirley) Jefferies, Mike (Melissa) Jefferies, Jerry (Sherry) Plummer and Larry (Susan) Plummer, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Patty Jefferies.

Funeral services will be conducted at Urban Winkler Funeral Home on Friday December 22, 2023 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Rob Judd officiating.  Friends may gather with the family from 11:00 am until the time of the service.  Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery.

Jim wasn't one to "dress up", so the family has asked that when attending the service, you dress comfortable.
