James W. Jones, of Richmond, passed away on Tuesday November 26, 2024 at Reid Health in Richmond at the age of 63.  He was born on October 19, 1961 in Richmond, the son of the late William Morton and Clara Catherine West Jones.

James graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor degree in Agricultural Finance.  With his degree he went on to work in several areas of finance.  When not working, you could find him enjoying music, watching movies, cooking, or shopping.  He was an avid fan of Star Trek and loved science, art and history.

His love and memories will be cherished by his children, Jessica Diane Jones, William Matthew Jones and John-Thomas Wesley & Kayla Jones; grandchildren, Zoe Hale, Jaxon Hale, Beatrice Gilbert, Kasey-Kay Jones, William Matthew Jones, Jr., and James Arthur.  He will be thought of often by his sisters, Donna & Larry Marling, Rebecca & Mike Stanton and Sharon & Gary Arn.

Keeping with James's wishes, cremation was chosen.  A Celebration of Life will be held at Urban Winkler Liberty Funeral Home, 310 N. Main, Liberty, IN on Friday December 6, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
