James Ray Reams, age 67, went home to walk with his Lord and Savior on June 15, 2023, surrounded by his family.  James was born on July 26, 1955, in Hamilton, Ohio, the son of the late James "J.C." and Wanita Mae Perry Reams.

James was retired, having worked as a tree trimmer for 20 years at several local tree trimming services and Rayburn Sawmill for 10 years.  James was an avid outdoorsman.  When not working, you could find him hunting, fishing, or looking for ginseng.  He was a very talented artist and enjoyed playing guitar and spending time with his family.

His love and memories will be cherished by his daughter, Christina (Matthew) Dils; sons, James Lee Reams and Danny Wayne Reams; brothers, Roger L. (Tammy) Reams, and Gary (Heidi) Reams; and sister, Saundra (Glen) Goins.  He will be thought of often by his 12 grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was welcomed into heaven by a brother, Danny Wayne Reams, sisters, Patricia Steele, Melissa J. Reams and Vickie Turner and a daughter-in-law, Christine Reams.

Friends may gather with the family on Tuesday June 20, 2023, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Laurel Pentecostal Church, 167 Charles Street, Laurel.  Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm.  Burial will follow at Laurel North Cemetery.
