James Russell passed away at Reid Health Care in Connersville following an bicycle accident on May 27, 2025 at the age of 33.  James was born on February 21, 1992, the son of the late Raymond and Cynthia Gaddis Russell.

James was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend that enjoyed watching wrestling, riding his bicycle around town, and playing with his dog, No Name.  The thing that he treasured the most was the time spent with his family and friends.  He helped with the family business, R & R Roofing and was longtime member of the American Legion Post #1.

His love and memories will be forever cherished by his sisters, Ladeana (Phillip) Zane, Debra Sizemore, Regina (Steven) Hall, and Kristy (Douglas) Kennedy; a brother, Raymond "JR" Russell, Jr, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded by a brother, Shawn Russell.

Funeral services will be held at Urban Winkler Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 3:00 pm.  Friends and family members may gather from 2:00 pm until the hour of the service.
