James A. Willis passed away at the age of 64 on August 29, 2023, at Reid Health Care in Richmond.  He was born in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania on October 4, 1958, the son of the late John A. Willis, Sr. and Doris Dout Willis.

James worked as a dog trainer for over 27 years and took up professional photography 10 years ago.  James enjoyed camping and taking hikes.  While hiking he would photograph nature and wildlife.

Those he left behind to cherish his memory are his son, Jacob (Hannah) Willis; brother, Jack Willis; sister Judy Plough; sister-in-law, Regina Willis; and his longtime good friends, Sonna Plough, Karen Cornett, Richard Feeback, and Darrell Plough.

Keeping with James's wishes, there will be no public services.
