Judith Anne Watler Lackey, 86, of Liberty passed away peacefully in her home on December 29, 2023. Judith was born on March 8, 1937, in Fairfield, Indiana, the daughter of the late Roy and Verla Nicholay Watler.

On September 9, 1966, Judy married the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Lackey. They enjoyed 47 years of marriage prior to his passing in April of 2014.

Judy worked in hospitality for the Whitewater State Park located in Brookville Indiana. She was a cleaning attendant for the parks cabins but she also helped with the up keep and preservation of the parks beauty. Judy retired from the Whitewater State Park in the early 2000's.

Sewing, gardening, and coloring a book are just a few of the hobbies that Judy took interest in doing to relax and unwind. Judy was known for her love for chocolate candies, she could never have enough of it. She was an avid NASCAR fan, if a race was on her attention should not be divided. She was also very passionate about the Cincinnati Reds and was not to be disturbed if they were actively in play. Judy especially loved spending time with her family, friends, and her fur baby, a cat, named Collin.

Judy is survived by her daughters, Roxanne Boardman, Robin Lindsey and Tammi (David) Willard; eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister Shirley Sexton.

Along with her parents, and husband, Judy is preceded in death by her son Joseph Logan, and her siblings; sister, Pauline Glaub, and brother, Harold Watler.

Funeral Services for Judy will be held on Friday January 5, 2024 at 1:00pm at Urban Winkler Liberty Funeral Home located at 310 N Main Street Liberty Indiana. Friends and family may gather from 11:00am until the time of service to honor Judy. Burial will follow at Sims Cemetery in Liberty.
