Kathleen Marie Cotton passed away on Saturday September 5, 2026, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family, friends, and pets, at the age of 73. Kathleen was born in Chicago, IL on August 4, 1953, one of three children of the late John and Molly Lotts Roderick.

On June 18, 2010, in Connersville, Kathleen was united in marriage to Paul Cotton.  They shared  sixteen years of marriage prior to her passing.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother that enjoyed taking her daily 4-mile walk, going camping, watching old westerns and golf and playing golf with Paul.  She loved taking care of her pets, and ice cream, especially chocolate milk shakes.  Although Kathleen enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, nothing meant more to her than her family.

She had lived all over the Untied States and had worked several jobs over the years.  She was an insurance agent, real estate agent and most recently worked as a caregiver for Residential CRF.

Her love and memories will be cherished by her husband, Paul; children, Michael William Groves, Daniel Chase Groves of Texas, along with their spouses and children, Justin (Kelley) Cotton, Casey Cotton, and Allison Cotton; brother, Richard Roderick; sister, Sherrie Liebrock; grandchildren, Roman, Leo, and Francesca Munden, and Kashton and Grant Cotton, as well as her longtime friend, Ruby Siler.  She will be in the thoughts of her sisters-in-law, Dana Cotton Noble and Jackie Cotton Himes; brothers-in-law, Mike Cotton and Jeff Cotton, mother-in-law, Pam Morgan and Aunt Jo.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by an infant sister.

Funeral services will be held at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W 8th Street, Connersville, on Friday September 11, 2026, at 1:00 pm.  Friends and family may gather at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the hour of the service.  Kathleen will be laid to rest at Valley Grove Cemetery following the service.
