Kenneth "Lard" Bauer, 76 of Brownsville passed away on February 28, 2025. He was born on July 26, 1948 in Hamilton, Ohio to Perry Bauer and Zora Chaney Boyle.

Kenny served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, after the Army he went to serve in the Indiana National Guard for 13 years.

Kenny was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 122 and the VFW Richmond Post 1108.

After 22 years of service at RPC Machinery he retired in 2023.

You could often find Kenny playing Euchre and horse shoes. He enjoyed going hunting, camping and just being outdoors. He liked to watch Westerns on TV and read Louis L'Amour westerns. Kenny was a family man. Ken loved life and never met a stranger.

Kenny is survived by his significant other of 22 years, Carol Durham; his daughter, Wendi (Kevin) Griffee; his grandchildren, Alex Griffee, Joshua Griffee and Daniel Griffee; his great grandchildren, Layla, Ohrian, Arya and Devin; his brother, Charles Bauer; several nieces, nephews and cousins; the mother of his daughter, Amy Bauer; and Carol's daughter, Francine and her family.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, Mike Bauer, Shirley and Ed Strait and June Kelly, an infant nephew, Charles Bauer Jr. and a nephew, Eugene "OJ" Bauer; and aunts and uncles

The family would like to give appreciation to his nephew, Brandon Strait and his sons for all the help they have shown Kenny and his family when his health began to fail, he stepped up and made sure the yard was taken care along with several other things.

Visitation for Kenny will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Urban Winkler Liberty Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, 11:00am at the funeral home.
