While resting peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, the Angels of the Lord escorted Linda to Glory.  Linda Cruse, age 71, passed away on Wednesday April 16, 2025, in Richmond, Indiana.  She was born in Kentucky on November 18, 1953, the daughter of Paul and Geraldine Flannery Griffee.

In Byrdstown, Tennessee on August 31, 1968, Linda became the bride of Wendell Cruse.  They shared 54 years of marriage prior to Wendell's passing in 2023.  They were blessed with four children.

Linda was a loving and devoted sister, wife, mother and grandmother who had a caring heart and loved providing for her family.  She was a member of the Laurel Pentecostal Church and enjoyed listening to gospel music and attending church.  Over the years, Linda had worked for Philco/Ford, Fayette County School Corporation as a custodian, J & J Packaging and most recently at Pioneer as a corn sorter.

Her memories will be close to the hearts of her family.  She is survived by a daughter, Pam Meredith; brothers, Wayne (Brenda) Griffee, Danny (Pamela) Griffee and Doug (Glenna) Griffee; grandchildren, Alisha (fiancé, Ernesto Garcia) Corbin and James Corbin; great grandchildren, Dawson, Zoey, Pacey, Kenzie, Carmello, Ernie, Jameson, Aubrey, Elizabeth and Koal, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was welcomed into heaven by her children, Judy Seeley, Thomas Cruse and Ellis Cruse; an infant brother Gary Paul Griffee and a grandson, Ellis Cruse, Jr.

Family and friends may gather and remember Linda on Thursday April 24, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W 8th Street, Connersville. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday April 25, 2025, at 11:00 am.  Linda will be laid to rest with her husband at Dale Cemetery.
