Lora M. Napier, age 77, went home to her Lord and Savior on August 19, 2023 at Ambassador Healthcare in Centerville.  Lora was born on May 10, 1946, in McKee, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Alfred and Violia Terry Moore.

Lora worked at Ford Electronics for several years. Prior to her declining health, she was employed at Haspin Acres and was a member of the Laurel EMS.  She loved to camp, work in her gardens, and taking long drives to different areas.  The time spent with her family and Yorkies was her most treasured time.

Lora left behind to remember her with love and joy in their hearts, are a daughter, Leslie (Clifford Ward) Hammond; sons, Travis (Ruth) Napier, and Jeff (Christina) Napier; a brother, William (Nancy) Moore; and sisters Joyce (Donald) Gray, Becky Jones and Joy Hill.  She will be thought of often by her grandchildren, Christa (Colt) Marcum, Kaliegh Hammond, Jessi (Charle) Hamond, Athena Hammond, Austin Napier, Caleb Napier, Kota Napier, Alyssa Napier, Gage Napier, Rachel Hammond, Joey Wagers, and Lora Wager; 15 great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was welcomed into heaven by her first husband, Donald Lee Hammond; second husband, Alfred "Bud" Napier; sons, Donald Lee Hammond, and Alfred Lee Hammond; brothers, Elbert Moore and Burchell Moore; and sisters, Bonnie Mitchell and Connie Moore.

Funeral services will be held at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W 8th Street, on Saturday September 2, 2023, at 1:00 pm.  Friends may gather from 11:00 am until the hour of the service.  Burial will be at Laurel North Cemetery.
