Margaret Louise Hoke, age 93, of Connersville, passed away on May 22, 2023, at Flatrock River Lodge in Rushville.  Margaret was born on February 14, 1930, in Lakeland, Florida, the daughter of the late William and Irene Motisheard King.

In Covington, Virginia on August 12, 1958, she became the wife of Clarence Howard Hoke.  They enjoyed 57 years together prior to his passing in 2015.  They were blessed with 2 children.

Margaret was a loving wife, mother and grandmother that also worked as a machine operator at the former Pioneer Seed in Rushville for 19 years.  You would find her relaxing by working in her garden and yard or watching TV.  She and Howard enjoyed going to flea markets and traveling.  Most of all she valued the time spent with her family.

Her memory and love will be cherished by her daughter, Linda K. Hunter; daughter-in-law, Linda Burns; brothers, Henry D. (Lisa) King, Steven R. King and Robert L. King; grandchildren, Karen (Paul) Fizor, Raymond (Misty) Lee Grimm, Jr., Duane Grimm, Jack Ferdon, Alisha (Jimmy) Roberts, William (Leeann Lander) Burns, Jr., Michael J. Burns, and Greg (Christy) Burns;  11 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephew.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her son, William E. Burns; brothers, William, Minor, Billy, Paul, Patrick, and Eric Leroy King; sisters, Alline Holcomb, Pauline Wilson, Effie Winebrenner, Shirley Saunders, Betty Ruth King and Dorothy King.

Funeral services will be held at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W 8th Street, Connersville on Wednesday May 24, 2023, at 1:00 pm.  Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 am until the time of the service.  Burial will follow at Laurel North Cemetery.
