Margaret Jean "Margie" Ritter, 68 of Connersville passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2026. She was born on March 14, 1958 in Connersville to Melvin Hinshaw and Lois Bensley Hinshaw.

On December 26, 1977 in Hamilton, Ohio she married her best friend and loving husband, Bruce Ritter. Together they were blessed with 2 children, built a life of love and many memories.

Margie attended Orange Christian Church.

She was a hardworking woman who held several jobs over the years. She worked at Green Manufacturing, KB Foods, and was a manager at Subway for 14 years. She also worked for Fayette County Free Fair Association and most recently at Pavey's Country Store. No matter where she worked, Margie enjoyed the friendships made along the way and was known for her willingness to work hard and of course pester everyone and kept them laughing.

Margie enjoyed fishing and traveling, especially taking trips to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. She treasured the simple things in life and spending time with her family and friends. Many called her "Blue Eyes." Her beloved dog, Sugar held a special place in her heart.

She will be remembered for her love of family, her hardworking nature, her sense of humor and the special way she could bring laughter to those around her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years. Bruce; her children, Bruce "Tuffy" (Beth) Ritter Jr. and Jennifer Keaffaber-Ritter; her grandchildren, Cody, Leo, Keagan, Alania, Beau and Wyatt; her siblings, John Hinshaw, Spud Hinshaw and Edith Hampton; and many friends, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends and family may visit on Thursday, September 24, 2026 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W. 8th St., Connersville, Indiana 47331.

At the request of the family in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Fayette County Free Fair Association, those can be made at the funeral home or sent to 2690 N. Park Road, Connersville, IN 47331.
