Martha M.C. Kuhr passed away peacefully on Saturday March 1, 2025, at her home in Seymour, IN at the age of 96.  Martha was born on August 13, 1928, in Buitenzorg, Indonesia, the youngest of eight children of the late Gerrit Petrus Willem-Milar and Maria Jacoba Adriana Tonjes Milar.

On June 5, 1951, in Indonesia, she became the bride of Maurits Kuhr.  They enjoyed 53 years of marriage prior to his death in 2004.  They were blessed with three children.

Martha was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother that valued her faith and family above all.  She enjoyed sewing, drawing, painting, counted cross stitch, reading and writing in her journals.  While she lived in Indonesia she worked as a file clerk for a financial institution and was a stay-at-home mom all her married life.

Her love and memories will be cherished by her sons Jean Andre (Lana) Kuhr and Steven Lucien (Liz) Kuhr and daughter Linda (David) Milligan. Grandchildren Carmel (Matthew) Green, Christopher (Natalie) Kuhr, Robert Kuhr, Andrea (Daniel) Driskell, Stephanie (Evan) Harris, Nathan Kuhr, Spencer (Mikaela) Milligan, Sarah (Logan) Stamm, as well as 16 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her seven siblings.

Funeral services will be held at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W 8th Street, Connersville, IN on Monday March 10, 2025, at 10:00 am.  Friends and family may gather from 9:00 am until the time of the service.   Martha will be laid to rest next to her husband at 2:30 pm at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Cincinnati.
