Martin "Marty" Lane, 56, of Connersville passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, June 23, 2022. He was born on August 26, 1965, in Elgin, Illinois to the late Richard and Joan Pinnell Lane.

Marty worked a majority of his life in the construction industry.

Marty was a very caring man. He would always make the best attempt to make the people he loved laugh, even in the worst situations. Marty loved playing guitar and listening to music with his cousin Mike.  The two buddies, as well as their friend Ralph had many unforgettable adventures together. Marty, like any amazing uncle loved teaching his nieces and nephews new things, especially how to play a guitar. He was very spontaneous, his family never knew where he would be or when he would show up.  Marty lived a gypsy life, meaning he was always moving around.

He is survived by his sisters Lisa Lane (Bob) Murfree, Stephanie Lane (Charles) Black, and Tracy Lane. His memories will live on forever with his nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his significant other, Cheryl Oliver, who cared for him during his illness.  Although he is now with the loved ones he missed the most, he wouldn't want you to cry, he would want you to remember and laugh about the good times with him.

Marty was proceeded in death by his parents and brothers; Rick Lane, and Ron Lane.

Although Marty's life ended unexpectedly, he gave life to 7 others through the gift of organ donation. A memorial service to honor Marty Lane will be announced at a later date.
