Mary M. Elliott, passed away at Reid Health in Richmond, IN on October 12, 2023, at the age of 85.  She was born on June 23, 1938 in Connersville, IN, one of ten children of Joseph "Lon" and Mary Frances Grizzell Lykins.

She was united in marriage to Larry Elliott on April 10, 1975.  They enjoyed 31 years together prior to his death on December 15, 2006.

Mary had worked at Metal Plating, as a cook and server at the I-70 Truck Stop and Mousie's and as a housekeeper at the Holiday Inn.   Mary spent her leisure time working in her flower beds where she loved to grow brightly colored flowers, being outdoors, cooking and yodeling.  She lived a simple life, and her most valued treasure was the time she spent with her family.

She has left behind to love and cherish her memory, a son, Howard Michael Durham; step children, Shari (Chris) Elliott-Jaramillo and Larry J. (Katie) Elliott, Jr.; grandchildren, John Dubois, Tiffaney Dubois, Natasha Dubois, Jimmy Jaramillo, Alexa Elliott and Jaden Elliott; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Isaacs, Brennon Baker, Brayden Milano, Quinton Isaacs, Presley Rodriguez and Hendrix Rodriguez; and great great-grandchildren, Harper Milano and Avalynn Baker.  She will be thought of often by her brother, Lon (Saundra) Lykins, Jr., as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Lou Dubois; brothers, Ross, Graydon, Olus, and Vernon Lykins and sisters Ida Clark, Mildred Bates, Charlene Marshall and Darlene Reynolds.

Funeral services will be held at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W 8th Street, on Thursday October 19, 2023, at 1:00 pm.  Friends may gather with the family from 11:00 am until the time of the service.  Mary will be laid to rest at Dale Cemetery.
