Melissa "Gabby" Jarboe passed away unexpectedly on May 30, 2024, at the age of 63.  Melissa was born on March 18, 1961, in Wilmington, OH, the daughter of the late Eugene Dixon and Frieda Lamb Hill.

Melissa was united in marriage on December 27, 1980, to Joseph A. Jarboe in Oxford, Ohio.  They enjoyed 42 years together prior to his death on October 23, 2023.  They were blessed with three children.

She attended Alquina United Methodist Church.  She worked for Meridian Health in Rushville as the Front Dest Receptionist/Office Manager.  Melissa was well loved by her patients and will be greatly missed.  When not working you could find her relaxing by singing, playing cards, cooking, working in her flower gardens, camping or any combination thereof.  She was known as the life of the party and never knew a stranger.  Her most valued time was the time she spent with her family and grandchildren.

Her love and memories will be cherished by her daughter, Emily Jo Jarboe, sons, Anthony "Tony" (Tisha) Jarboe, and Casey Scott (Stefanie Montgomery) Jarboe; and grandchildren, Taylor "Tater Bug" Jarboe and Joseph "Joey" Fisher.  She will be in the thoughts of her sisters Carolyn (Jim) Duncan, Linda (Richard) Barrett, Regina Willis and Jayne (Bill) Bennett as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded by a sister, Debbie Eickhoff and an infant brother.

Funeral services will be held at Urban Winkler Funeral Home on Saturday June 8, 2024 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Rob Judd officiating.  Friends and family may gather from 11:00 am until the hour of the service.
