Michael Eugene Lykins, 68 of Connersville passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. He was born on March 4, 1958, in Connersville to Denver Lykins and Dorothy Drew Lykins.

Michael had attended Crosspointe Biker Church in Connersville.

He was happiest when he was working with his hands or spending time with those he loved. He had a passion for building model airplanes and cars, taking great pride in every detail and craftsmanship of his creations. He often enjoyed doing carpentry work, building, fixing or creating something new. He had a love for music, whether that was listening to Elvis Presley or playing guitar. Above all he cherished his time spent with his family and friends at Caring Services.

He is survived by his daughter, Wanda K. Rivera; his brother, Denver (Elaine) Lykins Jr.; his sisters, Barbara Strauch and Melanie Shawver; sister-in-law, Letha "Sug" Lykins; his girlfriend, Lisa Mann; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by the mother of his child, Verna Hobbs his son, Brennon Lykins; his siblings, Harold Lykins, Gerald Lykins, Frank Lykins, Mary Bergen, Zelma Hendricks, Ed Lykins and Douglas Lykins.

The family of Michael would like to extend a special thank you to Caring Services and their compassionate caregivers for the kindness, care and support they provided for Michael during his journey. Your love and care will always be remembered.

Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W. 8th St. The funeral will begin at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Laurel North Cemetery.
