Michelle Renee Garitson passed away unexpectedly on Sunday February 23, 2025, at the age of 61.  She was born in Florence, Alabama on August 30, 1963, the daughter of the late Billy and Lottie Bevis Wood.

Michelle was a devoted and loving sister, wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed listening to music, fishing, diamond painting, and getting tattoos.  Her greatest pleasures were the times she babysat her grandchildren and spending time with her family.

Her love and memories will be cherished by her husband, Matthew Garitson, who she married in 2013; daughters, Ashley Lowery and Chelsea Peters, sons, Jeremiah Peters and Frankie Lowery, sisters, Rhonda Wood, Janelle (Eric) Ziegler, and Tracey (Keith) Williams; grandchildren, Macayla, Vincent and Aiden, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister Gayla Wood.

Keeping with Michelle's wishes, cremation was chosen.  Urban Winkler Funeral Home is honored to assist Michelle's family with her arrangements.
