Mildred R. Allen, formerly of the Liberty and Richmond areas, passed away on May 27, 2025, at Momentous Health in Vandalia, OH at the age of 95.  She was born on January 25, 1930, in Whitley County, Kentucky, the daughter of Walter and Rosa Perkins Moore.

On July 4, 1953, she was united in marriage in Liberty, IN to Glenn Allen. They shared 33 years of marriage prior to his death.

Mildred worked at the Richmond Community Schools as a custodian, retiring in 1990.  When not at work you could find her relaxing by reading her favorite tabloid magazines while eating her snacks.  She also enjoyed working on puzzle books and going to bingo.  Her most treasured times were the times she spent with her family.

Mildred is survived by her son, Steve (Stephanie) Allen; a brother Gary Moore, sisters, Mary Jane Lance and Jane Darden; grandson, Andy Turney; and great grandchildren, Sydney, Maddie and Mika Turney.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by four brothers, Jim Moore, Walt Moore, Virgil Moore and Harold Moore and two sisters, Kathy Haven and Shirley Lakes.

Funeral services will be held at Urban Winkler Liberty Funeral Home, 310 N Main, Liberty, on May 30, 2025, at 1:00 pm.  Friends and family may gather and share memories from 11:00 am until the hour of the service.  Mildred will be laid to rest at West Point Cemetery.
