Neal Jay Morken, 61 of Connersville passed away unexpectedly on February 13, 2025.  He was born on October 21, 1963, in Winchester, Indiana, the son of Darrell Morken Sr. and the late Patricia Morken-Purcell.

Jay was a 1983 graduate of Connersville Sr. High School. He was a starter and key player for the 1983 Connersville High School Boys Basketball State Championship Team. He loved being a teammate to his Spartan brothers and representing Connersville High School. Jay enjoyed spending time with both his family and friends. He especially enjoyed his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews at his family gatherings at Christmas and being at his Father's home on the lake in Tennessee. He enjoyed relaxing by casting a fishing pole and playing cards. Jays outgoing personality, and sense of humor will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Jay is survived by his father Darrell (Lana) Morken Sr. his brothers Darrell Morken Jr., Nick Morken, Matt (Adria) Morken, and his sister Trish (Joe) Smith. Jay had several nieces and nephews, who he took great pride in their numerous athletic achievements.

Jay is proceeded in death by his Mother, Pat Morken-Purcell, his maternal grandparents, Curtis and Francis Neal and his paternal grandparents Ed and Martha Coates.

There will be no public service. The family is asking you to remember Jay by donating to Connersville Athletics in his honor.
