Nora L Pennington

Nora L. Pennington, 91 of College Corner passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2026. She was born on November 25, 1934, in Sullivan, Indiana to Felix Grimes and Gertrude (Walters) Grimes.

On May 26, 1961, she married the love of her life, Russell Pennington in Eaton, Ohio. They were able to spend 54 years together before his passing on August 12, 2015.

Nora loved her dogs and cats. She enjoyed spending time outdoors and tending to her yard. She was a friendly and caring person who treasured the friendships she made throughout the years visiting with friends and neighbors. She will be remembered for her kind heart and the love she had for those around her.

Nora is survived by her neighbors and friends: Scott and Christine Volz, Cody, Aubrey (Joshua) Patel, Elly and Izzy Volz. Jeremy and Michele Hill, Shirley, Abby, and JD Hill. Roger and Kim Leugers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband; and her siblings, Ella Mussato, Felix Grimes, Jack Grimes and William “Bill” Grimes.

Per Nora’s request a private graveside service will be held at Hopewell Cemetery with Pastor Roy “Peanut” Vanwinkle officiating.
