Olive Rae Van Ausdal, age 76, passed away on Wednesday August 16, 2023, at Heritage House in Connersville.  She was born in Carrollton, Kentucky on April 13, 1947, the daughter of William Richard and Hattie Frances Huffman Ball.  She was united in marriage to Roy Van Ausdal on August 5, 1967, in Connersville.  They enjoyed 56 years together prior to her passing.  Olive and Roy were blessed with four children.

Olive was a loving wife, mother and grandmother that enjoyed reading romance novels, collecting bells, flower gardening and feeding the birds.  She also loved all animals.  She had lived a simple life and her most valued treasure was her family.

Her memory will be cherished by her husband, Roy; daughters, Traci Boughner and Melody Van Ausdal, and sons, David (Jean) Van Ausdal and Greg (Juanita) Van Ausdal.  She will be thought of often by her seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sister Nellie Hayden; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Donald Thomas Ball, Gerald David Ball, Harry Douglas Ball, Michael Edward Ball and Lloyd Richard Ball; sisters, Enda Rose Ball, Hattie Evelyn Kay, Betty Pearl Owens and Williana Jo Popp.

Friends and family may gather on Tuesday August 22, 2023 from 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W 8th Street, Connersville.  Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm by Michael Frausto.  Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery.
