Pamela J. Burton, after a brief battle with cancer,  passed away on January 1, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 73.  Pamela was born in South Bend, Indiana on June 13, 1951, the daughter of the late Clyde and Shirley Hohmann Womer.

Pamela graduated from Butler University with a bachelor's degree in education and earned her master's degree from Ball State University.  She retired after 41 years of service from Fayette County School Corporation where she taught at Everton Elementary School.  In her off time from teaching, she enjoyed horseback riding and cheering on the University of Michigan teams.  She enjoyed going to car shows and cruise-ins and talking with all the attendees.

On April 10, 2004, she was united in marriage to Danny Burton.  The enjoyed 20 years of marriage prior to her death.

Besides her husband, Danny, she is survived by a daughter, Sally Potters; stepdaughter Lynn (Craig) Faw; a brother David Womer and his family; and grandchildren, Charlie Jay Faw, Taylor Faw, and Devon Faw, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, William "Bill" Womer and Pete Womer.

Keeping with Pamela's wishes, cremation was chosen, and a memorial service will be conducted at the convenience of the family.
