Obituary

Patricia Jean Gordon of Falmouth, IN, passed away on Friday July 17, 2026 while a patient at Henry Community Hospital in New Castle, IN at the age of 77.  Patricia was born at home on August 31, 1948, outside of Andersonville, IN.  She is the daughter of John Martin Linville and Martha Aileen (Moore) Hobbs.

On June 27, 1986, she was united in marriage to John Lewis Gordon at the Rushville Christian Church.  They shared 39 years of marriage prior to his death on February 21, 2026.

A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Patricia was a world renown poker player (in her own mind), board game enthusiast and loved taking care of her pets, Dudley and Sophie.  Patricia enjoyed cooking, especially for family gatherings (supervising in the last few years), helping around the farm and traveling to Maggie Valley in Tennessee. Her greatest pleasure in life was doting on her grandchildren and great grandchildren.   She worked in area factories, including GECOM in Greensburg.

Her love and memories will be held close to the hearts of her daughters, Buffie Rogers and Tiffaney (Richard) Fish; sons, Donald "DJ" (Lucy) Rea and Dustin Rea; eleven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.  She will be in the thoughts of her brothers, Bill (Joyce) Linville, John (Julia) Linville, Tom Linville, Dale (Dottie) Linville, Keith (Bobbi) Linville, Jim (Tara) Linville, Stuart (Nichole) Linville, Ronnie Philpot and Rodger (Joann) Philpot; sisters, Martha Crain, Pam King, and Angie Linville; sister-in-law, Kathy Linville, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a son, Doug Rea; grandson, Zackery Rea; son-in-law, Will Rogers; her siblings, Mike Linville, Steven Linville, Betty (Richard) Ryckman, Sue (John) Cregar, Janie Nick, and Linda Philpot; a sister-in-law, Donna Philpot; and brothers-in-law, Terry Crain and Bud King.

Patricia's family would like to thank the hospice team, Mary, Shea and Jennifer, for their loving and compassionate care.
