Rachel D. Brown, 50, passed away on July 14, 2024 in Connersville, IN. Rachel was born on July 12, 1974, and is the daughter of Donnie and Darlene Cotten. On July 8, 2016, she married John Brown in Sevier County, TN.

Rachel worked for Pavey's in Everton where she made many friendships.

From fishing to rock hunting, or working in her flower garden, Rachel loved being outdoors. She enjoyed staying busy and working with her hands crafting. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren.

Rachel will be greatly missed by her husband, John Brown; her mother, Darlene Cotten; children, Jared (Sarah) Combs and Josh (Emily) Sheets; a brother, Eddie Cotten; sister, Tammy (Paul Koors) Bennett; her grandchildren, Matthew and Lainey Combs; as well as her beloved dog, Buster.

Along with her father, Donnie Cotten, Rachel is preceded in death by her grandparents, Silas and Mary Anderson, and a grandchild, Leah Combs.

Visitation for Rachel will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 503 W 8th St. Connersville, IN 47331. A funeral service officiated by Pastor Tom Marshall will immediately follow at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held in Dale Cemetery.
