Randal R. Russell of Liberty, IN, passed away on Sunday February 22, 2026, at the age of 61.  Randal was born in Connersville, IN on July 11, 1964, the son of the late Mendel H. Russell, Sr., and Judy Yingst Wilson.

Randal was united in marriage on December 1, 2001, to the love of his life, Amy L. Ripberger in Liberty, IN.  They shared 24 years of marriage prior to his death.

He attended Edwards Memorial United Methodist Church in Liberty.  He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, VFW, and American Legion Post 1and a former member of the AmVets.

Randal retired from Walmart after several years of service in 2017.  When his health permitted, you could catch him relaxing by fishing at this favorite fishing hole, riding Harley motorcycles, coaching softball with his wife, Amy, watching paranormal tv shows, and playing Call of Duty.  His most valuable treasure was the time he spent with his family and friends.

His love and memories will be cherished by his wife, Amy;  daughter, Victoria (Branden) Allen; son, Adam (Olivia) Ripberger; and granddaughter, Josie Ripberger.  He will be thought of often by his siblings, Mendel Russell, Jr., Rhonda (Greg) Hornsby, Sonya McKinney, Greg (Carla) Russell, Scott (Pam) Hudson, Leora (Jeff) Sherwood, Ollie (Monica) Hudson, Rick (Sharon) Hudson and Jessica Russell; mother-in-law, Wanda Parker, father-in-law, Herb Ripberger, brother-in-law, Michael (Dawnn) Ripberger; special niece and nephew, Joseph and Paige Ripberger, as well as numerus other nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his bonus mom, Juanita Russell, bonus father-in-law Ron Parker and step mother-in-law Kay Ripberger.

A Memorial Service will be held at Edwards Memorial United Methodist Church, 4 W Seminary Street, Liberty, on Saturday February 28, 2026, at 1:00 pm with Pastor Jeff Adams officiating.  Friends and family may gather to share memories and stories from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
